USA, CT: New England Brewing acquires Stony Creek Brewery facility in Branford
New England Brewing Co. (NEBCO) announced on July 18 that it has acquired the Stony Creek Brewery facility in Branford, according to a press release.
This new location for the brewery, whose other location is on Amity Road in Woodbridge, will now house their primary brewing operations and be main headquarters for staff.
The Branford space is located along the Branford River, providing a waterfront experience plus added amenities to welcome beer fans from across the state.
This expansion is a long time coming and a significant milestone for us, Rob Leonard, owner of NEBCO, said. The timing aligns perfectly for us to expand our reach in the craft beer community.
Ed Crowley along with his son, Ed Jr. and his wife Peggy launched the Stony Creek brand in 2010 and opened the brewery in Branford in 2015. This sale includes the brewery space, but not the Stony Creek brand.
After many incredible years of brewing and serving our community, we felt it was the right time to step away, Ed Crowley said. Were grateful to have found a Connecticut-based brewer to take over the reins. We have full confidence in NEBCOs ability to elevate the space and continue its tradition as a vibrant destination for beer lovers.
