World: Robust feed barley market continues to support prices
A mix of price fluctuations prevails, as the robust global feed barley market continues to support prices. An exception is Australia, where the record harvest is trying to progress, albeit with interruptions due to rain, RMI Analytics said in their latest report.
Argentine prices remain stable as the harvest is set to begin in 7-10 days.
Global barley prices are currently experiencing a distinctive market dynamic, where the strength of feed barley is countering the values of malting barley, which continue to be affected by weak demand. A consequence of this situation is the narrow malting barley premium for crop’25. The large Australian crop is driving malting barley prices to the lowest global level, surpassing France.
