USA, MD: Frederick�s Idiom Brewing Co. listed for sale

Idiom Brewing Co. in Frederick, MD (340 E. Patrick St. #104) has been listed for sale. The announcement was made by founder Michael Clements, who shared a heartfelt message with the community explaining his decision to move on, The Mocoshow reported on August 6.

Clements stated that while he initially planned to only sell the production brewery to downsize operations, he ultimately decided to sell both of the company’s locations, as well as the brand and all its rights. He cited personal soul-searching and a desire to “allow new ownership an opportunity to take the Idiom brand to the next level” as the reasons for his decision.

In his message, Clements reflected on the years he “poured” his life into the brewery, working a full-time job while also brewing and managing the business. He expressed hope that the new owners will continue Idiom’s legacy of providing a welcoming place for people to gather and enjoy unique flavors. He concluded his message by thanking the community and wishing them well.

The brewery remains open and will continue to operate as usual while a new owner is sought.
