Russia: Beer production up in 2018 and in January 2019

Russian brewers produced a total of 4.16 mln hl of beer in January 2019, 0.8% more than in January 2018 and 24.4% less than in December 2018, Rosstat reported earlier this week.

In 2018, the nation’s beer output amounted to 77.5 mln hl, an increase of 2.4% versus 2017.

Beer imports grew 42.9% in January-November last year, industry sources said.
