Ethiopia: BGI-Ethiopia appoints new Chief Executive Officer
BGI-Ethiopia, a subsidiary of the Castel Group, announced the appointment of Pierre-Emmanuel Medard as its new Chief Executive Officer, Ethiopian Monitor reported on May 8.
Emanuel is put in charge the largest brewery in the East African nation, replacing Herve Milhade. Milhade retired from Castel Group after serving as the BGI-Ethiopia CEO for the last three and half years.
In a statement on May 8, BGI-Ethiopia says Emmanuel brings over 25 years of industry expertise as he takes the helm starting May 1, 2025.
Most recently, Emmanuel served as CEO of Castels operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he delivered outstanding results across the beverage portfolio.
A material engineer by profession, Emmanuel joined the Castel Group a decade ago and held senior leadership roles in Ivory Coast and served as CEO of Castels subsidiaries in Gambia and Senegal.
