Ukraine: Ukrainians spend more on beer in 2024
In 2024, Ukrainians spent UAH7 billion more on beer than in 2023, as evidenced by data from the analytical platform VKURSI.
It is noted that such growth indicates a gradual recovery of consumer demand, the adaptation of enterprises to the difficult economic environment, and partial stabilization of the domestic market.
The industry's total revenue for the year increased by 17.5% and amounted to UAH46.3 billion, and total profit remained almost unchanged since 2023 and reached UAH2.5 billion. Thus, enterprises were able to stabilize their activities and ensure profitable work in wartime conditions.
At the same time, only two companies received a profit of over 1 billion UAH, three companies from 100 million UAH, and another ten from 10 to 100 million UAH.
In 2024, 299 beer companies operated in Ukraine, including 11 new industry joiners.
Despite proximity to the front line and regular airstrikes, companies registered in Zaporizhia Oblast generated the highest overall profits.
Significant results were also recorded in Kharkiv (177 million UAH), Kyiv (146 million UAH), Ternopil (126 million UAH), and Khmelnytskyi (88 million UAH) regions.
