Brewing news USA, IN: More Brewing Company files paperwork to start construction in Fort Wayne

Paperwork was recently filed to start construction on More Brewing Company in Fort Wayne, which is expected to open next year, WPTA reported on March 20.

The company broke ground near the intersection of Calhoun and Fourth Streets in late 2023 with plans to build a two-story restaurant and brewery with a riverfront patio and terrace.

At the time, the late Mayor Tom Henry described the restaurant and brewery as "a significant addition to the tremendous momentum and investments we’re experiencing along our riverfront."

Initially, sources said the project was expected to be completed in early 2025.

However, according to a city spokesperson, it was delayed with one factor of the delay being conflicting construction schedules for the project and Riverfront Phase 2 work.

The spokesperson said with construction on Riverfront Phase 2 ramping up this spring, the More Brewing project is expected to start work in late spring or early summer.

With the current schedule, it is expected to be the first major private investment completed at the North River site.
