EU: Barley harvest virtually finished
The barley harvest in the EU is virtually finished. Quantity estimates of the 27 members vary strongly, but the total is likely to end up around the 55 mln tonnes mark, H. M. Gauger GmbH said in their October report.
Qualities are variable, particularly in France, really good in Spain and Denmark. Protein contents are generally fair to good, except for parts of France and southern Poland.
