Brewing news Canada, NB: O’Creek Brewing launches full-scale brewery and taproom in Moncton

Almost exactly five years after launching as a home-based operation, O’Creek Brewing has opened a full-scale brewery and taproom location in Moncton, the Canadian Beer News reported on May 23.

O’Creek was founded in 2018 by Patrice Daigle, who initially brewed on a 1-barrel system in his basement for limited draught-only releases, and later shifted to contract production at CAVOK Brewing in Dieppe in order to enter the retail market with canned beer.

Plans for the new facility were announced last autumn, when it was noted that three partners – John Gonzales, Greg McAfee, and Nick Spataro – had joined Daigle for the expansion.

Open to the public since last week, the new 5,000-square-foot facility features a 100-seat taproom, large patio, retail shop, event space, and The Craft Canteen kitchen with food curated by chef Jon Morrison.

O’Creek Brewing is located at 175 Barker Street in Moncton, and opens at 12:00 noon daily, closing at 9:00 PM on Sunday to Wednesday, and 12:00 midnight Thursday to Saturday.
