World: January-September country beer production figures mostly lower than last year
Canadas beer sales in January-September this year totalled 10.4 mln hl, + 0.1% y/y, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported in early November.
Chinas September output was 31.57 mln hl, plus 2.3% y/y. January-September production totalled 281.35 mln hl, minus 6.8% y/y.
German brewers produced 2% more beer in September, the total for January-September was 68.2 mln hl, minus 4.3% y/y. Beer-mixes (mainly radler) saw a plus of 4.6% in September but a minus of 2.3% y/y in the first nine months of the year. As per media reports, an increase of alcohol-free beer is likely, but no figures are available yet.
Russias beer output totalled 61.8 mln hl in January-September, plus 2.6% y/y.
Ukraines beer output over the first nine months of the year was 14.2 mln hl, down 1.5% y/y. Malt production totalled 202 thousand tonnes, down 22.5%.
In the USA, domestic tax-paid beer output was 14.8 mln bbls in September, unchanged y/y. January-September saw a production of 126.5 mln bbls, minus 0.9% (May sales were corrected). Imports in January-August amounted to 23.2 mln bbls, minus 8.3% y/y.
