Το προιόν αυτό προκύπτει από την μετατροπή σε νυφάδες, βύνης σιταριού πού προέκυψε από την ήπια αποξήρανση διαβρεγμένων σπόρων τών οποίων τα έμβρυα μόλις είχαν μπεί στο στάδιο τής εκβλάστησης. Στο στάδιο τής πρώιμης βλάστησης τα έμβρυα τού σπόρου αποκαλούνται στα αγγλικά chit.
Οι νυφάδες βύνης Château σιταριού chit, διατηρούν πολλά από τα χαρακτηριστικά τού ανεπεξέργαστου σιταριού. Χρησιμοποιούνται για να βελτιώσουν την σταθερότητα τού αφρού και να εξισορροπήσουν βύνες με υψηλή διαλυτότητα. Οι νυφάδες μπορούν να προστεθούν απευθείας στον πολτό.
