EU: Barley exports in July-March 2021/22 slightly higher than last season
EU barley exports from July 2021 till 27 March 2022 are reported at 6.141 mln tonnes versus 6.005 mln last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH said in their April report citing Taxud figures adjusted by French port sailings.
Major destinations were China with 2.220 mln tonnes, Algeria with 515 thousand, Turkey with 510 thousand and Saudi Arabia with 506 thousand tonnes.
The largest EU shippers were France which exported 2.95 mln tonnes, Romania 1.685 mln, and Germany with 0.93 mln tonnes.
