India: Shaw Wallace Breweries announces 999% increase in net profit

Shaw Wallace Breweries Ltd has announced over 999 percent increase in net profit at Rs60.37 crore for the quarter to Dec 2006, India Business Insight reported April 26.

Its sales grew by 17 percent to Rs34.58 crore, operating loss was at Rs3.16 crore and profit before depreciation and tax grew by 662 percent to Rs63.13 crore.

The company's equity capital was at Rs48.01 crore, share price as on 5 Feb 2007, Rs159 and price earnings ratio, 10.80.

Its 52-week high/low was Rs239/92.
