Chile: Compania Cervecerias Unidas reports first-quarter profit at $55.8 mln

Chile’s leading brewer Compania Cervecerias Unidas (CCU) on May 8 reported first-quarter profit of $55.8 million, AP reported.

On a per-share basis, the Santiago, Chile-based company said it had net income of 30 cents.

The wine, spirits and soft drink company posted revenue of $796.8 million in the period.

Cervecerias Unidas shares have increased slightly more than 1% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 26% in the last 12 months.
