Germany: Redeberger interested in Paulaner
The CEO of German brewery Radeberger (Oetker group) expressed his interest in taking over Paulaner brand (Schorghuber/Heineken group), in an interview for a German journal last week-end. Ulrich Kallmeyer wants a prestigious weissbier like Paulaner to join other 3 brands already in his portfolio.
On the other hand Brau Holding International, Germany’s third-largest brewer, has insisted flagship brand Paulaner is not for sale amid reports that rival brewer Radeberger is eyeing the wheat beer.
Radeberger is one of the German leaders expecting 15 millions HL and EUR 1,3 billions in sales.
