Brewing news USA: January-September beer shipments estimated to have dropped by 5.1%

The Beer Institute has reported its unofficial estimate of taxable removals of beer in the US, pegging the September 2025 estimate at 12,200,000 barrels, which is an increase of 1% compared to September 2024 removals of 12,083,625.

January-September beer shipments are estimated at 108,569,926 barrels – 5.1% down versus the same period in 2024.

The October 2025 taxable removals estimate is scheduled to be released on December 4, 2025.
