Brewing news Russia: Sun Interbrew to start building EUR 50 mln euro brewery in Angarsk in June

Sun Interbrew will start building a brewery in Angarsk, Irkutsk region, in June 2006, Angarsk Mayor Andrei Kozlov said at a press conference at Interfax-Siberia on May 25.

"Public hearings took place yesterday on opening a new production - the Sun Interbrew brewery," he said. "The first stone will be laid in June and the ceremony will be attended by the company's president and shareholders. The brewery will be built in 2008. The total cost of the project is about 50 million euros and it will produce 4.4 million hectoliters of beer a year," Kozlov said.
