USA, AZ: Formation Brewing getting ready to open its doors in Phoenix this year

Formation Brewing, a new brewery in the heart of Roosevelt Row in Downtown Phoenix, will officially open its doors in 2025, so make sure to mark your calendars for the grand opening celebration on March 1. Located at 925 N. 5th St., between Taco Chelo and Le Du Thai, the public event will feature live music, complimentary tastings, and exclusive giveaways.

Formation will offer 24 draft beers and a full food menu focused on hand-crafted Detroit-style pizza and showcasing specialties from local food purveyors appealing to craft beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike.

Four signature beers on tap and in 12-ounce six-packs to-go include the Cloud Drifter Hazy IPA, Desert Racer Pilsner, Sun Crest Tart Peach Ale, and Western Winds West Coast IPA. Craft cider, a specialty cocktail menu, and non-alcoholic options are also available.

“We’ve been inspired by the landscape of Arizona and the energy of Roosevelt Ro,w and we can’t wait to join the amazing local businesses here,” founder Charlie Berger said. “Our experience is all about bringing the community together over fantastic craft beer and delicious food, served in a one-of-a-kind, welcoming space that inspires connection and unity.”

Intentionally built to encourage conversation and connection, Foundation’s taproom will serve as a neighborhood gathering space. Inside, visitors will find a sunken “conversation pit” alongside a patio space and a second level ideal for hosting parties and events throughout the year.

“Formation Brewing is the culmination of 13 years of passion for and experience in brewing, events, and hospitality,” Berger said. “When it comes down to it, we want to be known as a go-to place that serves great beer and food and where people are happy to be – a place where people feel that strong sense of community.”

The new location plans to open its doors in February 2025 before the grand opening celebration. Formation will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
