World: China, US report increases in January-August beer volumes
Canada’s January-July beer output is reported at 10.6 mln hl, plus 3.7% y/y, H. M. Gauger GmbH said in their October report.
China brewed 262.5 mln hl in January-August, plus 5.4% versus the same period in 2020.
Germany reported a 7% decline in August beer sales (to 7.86 mln hl), January-August saw a 3.9% drop to 58.1 mln hl.
Ukraine’s January-August beer output totalled 12.24 mln hl, minus 4.7% y/y.
The US reported sales of 14.6 mln bbls in August (minus 3.3% y/y), the January-August volume was 114.5 mln bbls. (plus 1.6 y/y). Beer imports in January-July were 23.0 mln bbls. (+ 16.8% y/y).
