EU: Malting barley markets supported by industry pricing taking place
EU malting barley markets are supported by some industry pricing taking place, both in winter and spring malting barley, GrainCom reported on July 21.
Crop conditions remain good in the UK and Scandinavia, although we would like to see a bit warmer and sunnier weather in Denmark and Sweden, the industry observers said.
Germany is reporting mixed to below average results, with protein levels on the high side. GrainCom foresee higher import demand in this crop year.
In France spring malting barley is rated 65% good/excellent, unchanged from last week. Harvest is about 50% done.
