Denmark: New CEOs in Carlsberg Danmark and T�rk Tuborg

Danish beer giant Carlsberg A/S announced on December 6th, 2006 that as of 1 January 2007, Jesper J�rgensen will take over the position as CEO of Carlsberg Danmark from J�rn Tolstrup Rohde. Damla Birol will be new CEO of T�rk Tuborg.

Jesper J�rgensen (40) comes from a position as CEO of T�rk Tuborg, a position he has held since January 1, 2006. Jesper J�rgensen started in Carlsberg in 1994 as Project Manager in Carlsberg International. From 1997 to 2001, he held different positions in Carlsberg Danmark within sales and supply chain. From 2001 to 2004 he was stationed with Feldschl�sschen in Switzerland working with the turnaround of the company as Business Development Manager. In 2004 he went to Holsten in Germany, where he was in charge of the restructuring and integration of Carlsberg Deutschland, before going to Turkey in 2005.

Damla Birol [42] will take over the position as CEO in T�rk Tuborg as of 1 January 2007. Damla Birol has been with T�rk Tuborg for four years, first as Vice President, Marketing, until she in 2005 was appointed Deputy CEO and General Manager for Sales & Marketing. Damla Birol started her career at Procter & Gamble in Canada and Turkey and has experience from several Turkish companies, including consulting for T�rk Tuborg prior to Carlsberg�s acquisition of the company.

J�rn Tolstrup Rohde came to Carlsberg in January 2004. He has been heading Carlsberg Danmark through a period of significant changes, most recently the announcement of the planned closing of the Valby plant and the transfer of production to Fredericia. J�rn Tolstrup Rohde leaves Carlsberg to take up a position as managing director of the Danish venture capital company 3C Holding.

Nils S. Andersen, President and CEO of Carlsberg A/S, says: "J�rn Tolstrup has made a great contribution in Carlsberg during his three years with the Group. He has now decided to seek new challenges. I am sorry to see him leave, but at the same time pleased that we today have a team of strong leaders in Carlsberg, and that we therefore can say welcome to two new CEOs for Denmark and Turkey, respectively, both recruited from within the Carlsberg Group."
