USA, WI: Bloomer Brewing Company closing its doors after 12 years
The community of Bloomer is coming together to say goodbye to one of its social spots. After twelve years, Bloomer Brewing Company is closing its doors, Weau 13 News reported on June 1.
The Taphouse hosted its last day of business on May 31, where people could come and enjoy a final glass of beer from the brewery with their friends.
For many residents of Bloomer, the Brewing Company was one of the communitys go-to places for funa place to bring friends and family from out of town, and most of all, a symbol of what their community had to offer.
Whenever people come in from out of town or friends come up from Eau Claire, we try to bring them here because it is a good place to showcase the community, said Bloomer resident Tony Erickson. It is nice to be able to bring the kids and have a big open space with a wide variety of stuff to do while we are here.
Although the business is closing, many viewed this final day of bar service as a proper send-off for a place where they hold fond memoriesan opportunity for the community to make memories there one last time.
I guess it is a little bittersweet that its closing and the fact that we are glad that they are having one big last day here, said Tony. Its good to see the community come out and show them off one last time.
The building housing Bloomer Brewing Company has not been purchased yet, but the owners and guests say they hope someone will come and reopen the facility for the community once again.
