Brewing news USA, WA: Stemma Brewing Co. opens inside Twin Sisters Brewery’s previous location

Twin Sisters Brewery, a popular brewery and restaurant in Bellingham known for its iconic “beer garden” sign and ambiance, closed permanently in December.

As the popular brewery closed, owners also announced that another Bellingham brewery — Stemma Brewing Co. — had purchased its restaurant, beer garden and brewery, , Belligham Herald reported on March 27.

Stemma Brewing Co. renovated the massive space and is now opening its second location on Thursday, March 27, according to an Instagram post, calling it Stemma West.

“We’re in our soft opening phase, with a grand opening planned for early summer,” the post states.

The new brewery will be open regularly from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday and 3 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at 508 Carolina St. in Bellingham.

Stemma’s original brewery is still open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at 2039 Moore St. in Bellingham.
