Romania: Ursus Breweries inaugurates new bottling line at its Brasov brewery
Romania's Ursus Breweries said on November 1 that it has inaugurated a new bottling line at its brewery in the central city of Brasov, following a 50 million euro ($52.8 million) investment started in 2020, SeeNews reported.
As part of the investment, the company also built new warehouses, laboratories and office space that will contribute to the optimisation of its operating capacity, Ursus Breweries said in a press release.
"Despite encountering unpredictable challenges, which directly and indirectly impacted our investment timeline, we are now happy to see the new line and the new facilities being fully operational," said Michal Mrowiec, president of Ursus Breweries.
The newly built warehouse space of 3,000 sq m will store finished products and packaging materials. The additional office space will serve over 200 people who staff the Brasov brewery.
Bucharest-headquartered Ursus Breweries has been controlled by Asahi Breweries Europe since 2017. Ursus owns breweries in Timisoara, Buzau, Brasov and a mini-production facility in Cluj-Napoca, according to its website.
