Arizona barley was 95 percent mature with 40 percent of the acres harvested, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service�s (NASS) Arizona Field Office on June 18, 2007.

Cotton squaring was complete on 50 percent of Arizona�s acreage compared to the 5-year average of 46 Temperatures were above normal in Arizona for the week ending June 17. Temperatures ranged from 1 degree below normal at Paloma to 7 degrees above normal at Prescott. The highest temperature of the week was 110 degrees in Maricopa, Phoenix, and Roll. The lowest reading of 33 degrees occurred at the Grand Canyon.
