Malawi: Carlsberg Draught launched in Lilongwe

Carlsberg Breweries Malawi Limited re-launched one of its old brands, Carlsberg Draught, at a function held in Lilongwe, The Daily Times published May 7.

Brands Manager Reginald Njiragoma said the brand was re-introduced with promotional launches to publicize its existence.

"The Draught was there but we never mentioned it, now we are telling people that it is there and readily available in drinking places,"Njiragoma said.

He said the advantage with Draught was that its alcohol content was 4.7 percent.

"Its just like a green, the only difference is that green goes into the bottle while this one goes into a keg and comes through a machine to the consumer," Njiragoma said.

Draught is sold at K120 per glass, which is an equivalent of two bottles of 333 millitres.
