USA, ME: Allagash Brewing coming to The Downs in Scarborough

This summer just got a whole lot better with Allagash coming to The Downs in Scarborough, Maine, 949whom.com reported on May 12.

According to Brewer Magazine, award-winning Allagash Brewing Company announced they will be opening at a new space called Allagash Scarborough, at The Downs in July 2025.

This second location will have different choices for drinks, including house-made wine and cocktails, and of course, their award-winning Allagash beers. Plus, there will be a new menu from Bite Into Maine. And no, that doesn't mean that the Portland Allagash will be closing. The original tasting room area, including brewery tours and tasting experiences, will stay open at the flagship Portland location, which has been ranked by Tripadvisor as the #1 thing to do in Portland, Maine. There are plenty of Allagash lovers for both locations to flourish.

The founder of Allagash Brewing Company told Brewers Magazine:

“For 30 years, Portland has been and will always be our home, but we’re excited to reach even more of the Maine community in this new space, as well as folks visiting Maine, by bringing the Allagash experience to Scarborough.”

The Downs in Scarborough and Rock Row in Westbrook, Maine, are two developments that are attracting some really great businesses. The Downs developed the space for Allagash quickly to get them ready to open their doors with a good chunk of summer still left to enjoy.
