Beer production in Russia increased by more than 10 percent in 2024, RBC Wine reported, citing Rosalokoltabakcontrol (RATK).

The production of beer drinks in Russia also showed a significant increase (by 22.5 percent). The RATK explains these dynamics by the introduction of a registry of brewers and whitewashing this segment of the alcohol market. At the same time, experts who spoke with journalists explained this by a redistribution of categories � due to the increase in the excise rate, manufacturers who previously labeled their products as "fruit alcoholic" and "low-alcohol" have now transferred them to the categories of cider and beer products, respectively.
