EU: Trend of higher export malt prices continues but at a slower pace

The trend of higher European export malt prices continues, but at a slower pace for the time being, RMI Analytics reported earlier in November.

After such a dramatic move higher, the market appears to be taking a brief respite as barley quality is defined.

Extreme tightness of barley in certain regions is pressing maltsters and brewers to explore all possible barley supply options for crop 2021 to ensure 2022 malt supply with summer 2022 is expected to be very tight.
