Tip de malț ușor uscat, produs din orz înmuiat, care a germinat pentru o perioadă scurtă de timp.
Fulgii de orz malțificat păstrează majoritatea caracteristicilor
orzului brut și sunt utilizați pentru a îmbunătăți stabilitatea spumei și pentru a echilibra malțul cu solubilitate ridicată. Oferă berii o aromă bogată de boabe uscate și sunt utilizați adesea la Stout. Acest malț îmbunătățește calitatea și stabilitatea spumei.
