EU: Markets see more buying interest in malting barley this week
More buying interest in malting barley showed up this week on the European markets leading to a price recovery in crop 2019 for both spring and winter varieties, GrainCom reported on February 22.
The malting premiums above feed barley and wheat have meanwhile improved a bit.
The old crop is still neglected, industry sources said.
Plantings in France are in progress and the weather forecast looks positive for the days to come.
