Brewing news Russia: SUN Interbrew Company brings Brazil to Moscow

"American Bar & Grill", a restaurant in the center of Moscow, for several hours has turned May 26 into little Brazil, SUN Interbrew released the same day. This miracle was created by three popular Brazilian graffiti. They have come to Russia for the first time to acquaint our country with real Brazilian art and special life philosophy, "jinga".

Graffiti is not only the way of self-expression, it is also the way to express one's attitude towards the surrounding world. Admirers of this art can distinguish between skillful works of true street artists and spontaneous primitive inscriptions and drawings of teenagers who have nothing to do.

As for Brazil, today one cannot imagine it without graffiti just as without football or carnival. It's not by chance that the organizer of the action, SUN Interbrew Company (it has put the famous Brazilian beer "Brahma" on Russian market), having an intention to introduce real Brazilian art, culture and way of life to Russian people, has chosen graffiti artists for this purpose. And the hit of the show was not this excellent beer, but the art of faraway Latin-American country. Yulia Vysotzkaya, the company representative, made an opening speech and introduced their guests, one of which, Speto, started painting graffiti even before reporters came.

The initiative of SUN Interbrew, with the brand BRAHMA, was commented by Elisabeth-Sophie Mazella di Bosco Balsa, Counsellor for Cultural Affairs of the Brazilian Embassy in Moscow: "I welcome the development of the cultural contacts between our countries, and the interchange of artists, not only in music, but in visual arts. This becomes an additional point of contact between two great cultures".
