Mexico & China: Modelo expects to increase exports to China

Grupo Modelo expects its exports to China to rise 20 percent annually in the next few years, Chief Executive Officer Carlos Fernandez said May 22.

Modelo currently exports about 1.5 million cases of beer to China annually.

Fernandez also said he expects exports to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea to increase, without specifying by how much.

Modelo, based in Monterrey, is Mexico s largest beer maker.
