USA, NE: Kinkaider Brewing Co. holds soft opening of new Kearney location

Kinkaider Brewing Co. held a soft opening for its new Kearney location in the Younes campus, right off of Interstate 80, Central Nebraska Today reported on October 3.

The soft opening took place on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the new facility located at 221 11th Ave.

“We have been looking at Kearney for a number of years,” Kinkaider co-owner Cody Schmick said in a fall 2024 announcement.

“With popular locations in Lincoln, Omaha, and Broken Bow, Kinkaider has become one of Nebraska’s most recognized craft breweries. At Younes Landing, guests can look forward to a wide lineup of their Nebraska-brewed beers alongside Sideshow Spirits cocktails in a brand-new taproom,” according to Visit Kearney.

“Kinkaider Brewing is all about bold, Nebraska-made craft beer served with a welcoming, down-to-earth vibe. At our new Kearney location, you’ll find fresh brews, a menu of local favorites, and the perfect place to gather with friends,” Kinkaider Brewing stated on its website.

“Kearney, with its growing population and vibrant local scene, is the perfect place to share our story and beers. As a town that’s known for its welcoming vibe and forward-thinking spirit, Kearney offers the perfect backdrop for Kinkaider’s next chapter,” Kinkaider noted in a blog post.

Business hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Right next door, Kinkaider is also opening its sister concept, Bierhaus Maisschäler. “This is going to be a new model for us, it will be a Kinkaider, Bierhaus side by side,” Schmick said.

“This Old World-inspired pub features sausage rolls, pretzels, schnitzel, and an impressive list of German and European import biers. With its first location in Lincoln, Kearney will soon be home to the second Bierhaus in Nebraska,” per Visit Kearney.
