USA, CT: New England Brewing Co. ready to open new facility this month
After years of planning for a second location, New England Brewing Co. (NEBCO) will finally open the doors on a new facility this month,CTInsider reported on August 13.
NEBCO's new waterfront facility at 5 Indian Neck Ave. in Branford will have its grand opening on Aug. 29, a spokesperson for the brewery said.
The building was previously home to the Stony Creek Brewery. NEBCO announced that it acquired the facility in July after spending over half a decade looking for a new location. In 2024, a deal for a new location in West Haven fell through after roughly two years of public hearings, lease negotiations and litigation prevented plans from moving forward.
NEBCO serves a variety of IPAs, American lagers, ales, stouts and other brews.
Since acquiring the new location, NEBCO has worked on renovations, including refinishing furniture, repainting tables, repainting the walls and new murals, according to NEBCO Director of Sales and Marketing Jamal Robinson. NEBCO's original location at 175 Amity Road in Woodbridge will remain open.
Robinson said that the brewery's kitchen will have a limited selection of items prepared by North Branford's Supreme Seafood Restaurant's owners, Robert Marcarelli and Jared Schulefand. The grand opening will also have food trucks from restaurants like Naples Pizza.
"There's still some stuff to get the kitchen up and running and to be full speed," Robinson said.
