Ukraine: Barley exports only total 1 mln tonnes in July-October

Ukrainian grain exports in July-October this year were 12.2 mln tonnes, of which by sea 8.0 mln tonnes (last year 20.8 mln). Exports via rail, road, river were 4.2 mln tonnes, an unexpected large tonnage, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier this month.

Barley exports were only 1.0 mln tonnes, the world markets demand was concentrated on maize (9 mln) and wheat (4.9 mln tonnes).

The further export picture is clouded, plantings and fertilizing of new crop grains are sharply handicapped in the war-torn country.
