USA, PA: Cooper’s Family Brewing to begin serving its beers in Scranton on May 24

Cooper’s Family Brewing will begin serving microbrews at Cooper’s Seafood House on North Washington Avenue in Scranton on May 24, the Standard-Speaker reported on May 17.

Jack Cooper, who co-owns the restaurant with his brother, Paul, first announced plans in January to build a microbrewery in the cellar.

Jesse Cooper — Jack’s nephew and Paul’s son — who will serve as the brewmaster, is a former research associate in the field of biotechnology. He started homebrewing about four years ago and plans to craft a range of different beer types and varieties from his original recipes.
