Brewing news USA, CA: Campus Brewing Co. going out of business

West Sacramento-based Campus Brewing Co. announced on January 5 that it is going out of business, the Sacramento Business Journal reported.

The brewery, located at 1520 Terminal St. in West Sacramento, was formerly known as Yolo Brewing Co. before it rebranded in 2020. It marketed itself as "an educational focused brewery."

In a social media post, the brewery said it would soon be shutting it doors, though it didn't elaborate on what prompted the closure. Representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment on January 5.

"We plan to maintain something close to our normal taproom hours as we attempt to sell as much of the remaining beer as possible," the Facebook announcement says.

Another area brewery also announced its planned closure on Wednesday. Dreaming Dog Brewery in Elk Grove said it would be closing at the end of the month after not being able to negotiate a lease renewal for its location at 2501 W. Taron Court.
