World: China’s January-October beer output up 4.8% yoy, US sales show 0.7% increase
According to official statistics, Chinese beer output in January-October totalled 313.3 mln hl, plus 4.8% year-over-year, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier this month.
German beer sales in October were 6.4 mln hl, minus 4.5% y/y, in January-October the volume reached 71.985 mln hl, minus 3.9% y/y.
Russia beer sales increased by 5.7% to 5.87 mln hl in October, whereas the January-October volume saw a plus of 2.5% y/y.
Ukraine’s January-October beer sales declined by 6.1% to 14.6 mln hl. (The Ukrainian malt production of 178 thousand tonnes in January-October is down 19%).
The U.S. domestic beer sales were 13.9 mln barrels, plus 2.8% y/y, in October, and 143 mln barrels in January-October, plus 0.7% y/y.
The U.S. beer imports totalled 3.28 mln barrels in September, minus 1.4%; the January-September import volume was 29.86 mln barrels, plus 12.7%, of which from Mexico 21.8 mln barrels, plus 15.8%.
