Spain: Barley crop estimate 20.8% lower than last year

Cooperativas Agro-Alimentarias issued their second crop estimate for Spain, at 9.435 mln tonnes of barley, 20.8% less than last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier this month.

The total grain crop is 24.5 mln tonnes, still the second best grain crop ever, thanks to an almost unchanged wheat harvest (minus 3%).

The total grain demand of the country is 38 mln tonnes, this year’s import demand is 13.5 mln tonnes.
