Brewing news USA, OH: Saucy Brew Works’ opening delayed

Saucy Brew Works’ planned opening in Detroit is being delayed, Cleveland.com reported on February 25.

Saucy had been planning to open its Motor City outpost Wednesday, March 3. The brewpub - which will have capacity for brewing – is located in a mixed-use community development downtown and close to Detroit’s sports venues.

The folks at Saucy are taking as light-hearted a look at the delay – attributed to permit issues out of their control – via Facebook:’

The brewery said it hopes to learn of a new opening date next week.

Saucy, which opened in the Hingetown part of Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood in 2017, has been on a steady expansion course. It is building a massive brewery-event center next to Topgolf in Independence, and it opened in the Pinecrest development in Orange Village last year. It also has a Columbus taproom and a presence in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, where 14% of capacity - 2,720 spectators - are allowed under Covid restrictions.
