World: China, Germany, US report beer production declines in January-October this year
Chinas January-October beer production was 299.6 mln hl, 7.5% down from the same period last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier this month.
In October alone, production volume declined by 1.3% to 18.8 mln hl.
German brewers produced 8.7% less beer in October (6.64 mln hl) and 4.7% less beer in the first ten months of the year (74.8 mln hl).
Russia increased its January-October production volume by 3.4% to 67.4 mln hl.
In the US, October domestic tax-paid beer volume was 13.25 mln barrels, plus 0.6% versus October 2019. January-October saw volume drop by 0.7% to 139.8 mln barrels. The nations beer imports increased by 16% in September and dropped by 5.9% in January-September, it is reported.
