Brewing news Canada, BC: Patina Brewing and Barbecue now open in downtown Port Coquitlam

A new brewery and restaurant that is offering customers the chance to “explore lesser-known beer styles alongside the familiar while sharing in full-flavored, traditional, Southern barbecue” is now open in downtown Port Coquitlam, the Canadian Beer News reported on March 10.

Patina Brewing and Barbecue has been founded by a group that includes former Port Coquitlam mayor Greg Moore, his wife Erin, Brian Orrange of Orrange Kitchen + Bar, his wife Kim, and a fifth silent partner.

Patina opened earlier this month with a core beer line-up that includes Kölsch (5.2% abv), Hazy IPA (7.5% abv), Stout (5.7% abv), and Amber Lager (5.4% abv), plus several guest taps.

The food menu delivers BBQ favourites like ribs, brisket, chicken, and pulled pork – plus jackfruit for the vegetarians – and a wide selection of sides and snacks.

Patina Brewing and Barbecue is located at 2332 Marpole Ave. in Port Coquitlam, and is open from 11:00 AM daily, closing at 11:00 PM on Sunday to Thursday and 12:00 midnight on Friday and Saturday.
