Ukraine: Experts increase forecast for Ukrainian barley export in 2005/06 MY
APK-Inform experts forecasted May 29 Ukrainian barley export at 3.7 million tonnes. It is up 100.000 tonnes as compared to the previous estimations.
According to the Customs Data, export shipments volume of Ukrainian barley in April continued decreasing and totalled 136.000 tonnes, 2.5 times less than in March. The average export price decreased by 8 USD per tonne, to 129 USD per tonne. The main volume was shipped to Saudi Arabia - 127.000 tonnes. Also, Great Britain, Switzerland, Russia, Libya and Belarus were included in the list of buyers.
Total export during July-April was more than 3.47 million tonnes of barley, down 7% from the previous year.
