China: The latest figures on China’s malting barley imports

Specialists have estimated that China imported 710,000 tonnes of malting barley in January/March this year, of which 460,000 tonnes from Australia, 236,000 tonnes from Canada, 15,000 tonnes from France.

Canada will have not much more barley available before the arrival of new crop in October, and the EU cannot compete with Australian prices.
