The Dominican Republic: AB InBev to brew Corona beer in the Dominican Republic

Dominican President Luis Abinader met with executives from Anheuser-Busch InBev, producers of Corona beer, who announced that the Dominican Republic has been chosen as a new production site for the global brand, The Dominican Today reported on November 28.

The decision represents a major foreign investment and reflects strong confidence in the country’s legal stability, economic performance, and institutional strengthening in recent years.

Abinader congratulated Jean Jereissati, CEO of AB InBev’s Middle Americas Zone; Fabián Suárez, president of CND; and executives Luis Álvarez and Jochi Pérez. He emphasized that investments of this scale are possible thanks to the nation’s climate of economic, legal, and social stability. The establishment of Corona beer production, he noted, will drive economic growth and create new jobs.

The visit highlights the strong collaboration between the public and private sectors and reaffirms Anheuser-Busch InBev’s confidence in the Dominican Republic. The meeting took place at the National Palace.
