USA, KY: Gallant Fox Brewing Company expands with second location in Mount Washington
One of Louisville’s newest breweries has expanded, opening a second location in Mount Washington. Gallant Fox Brewing Company’s expansion is monumental and is the first brewery to open in Bullitt County, the Spectrum News reported on December 30.
Co-owner Roger Huff says this expansion has been in the works for over a year and the community of Mount Washington has welcomed him and his team with open arms.
“You know, they lined up out the door when we first opened and they got beer to-go because you couldn’t sit inside because it was the pandemic, right? It’s been very similar out here. These people have embraced us so much,” Huff said.
Gallant Fox opened a little over two years ago in Louisville. Its second location officially opens to the public on Dec. 20.
With more space to brew, the plan is to ramp up production of their staple drinks.
“We’ll be able to do more of our core beers out of the big tanks and still utilizing the Louisville (location) for all the experimental stuff that we want to do in smaller batches,” Huff said.
The Mount Washington location features a large bar and full kitchen, offering a wide selection of food and beverages.
Located about halfway between Louisville and Bardstown, it sits in the middle of the Bourbon Trail. The brewery gives tourists another reason to check out the town.
“I knew that it was something that was needed in our town,” said Lori Puchino, community planning and development director for Mount Washington. “Being right off the Bourbon Trail and how popular it is, they see somewhere around 800,000 tp 900,000 visitors a year, and I thought it would be something that we would be able to jump off with.”
The brewery is located at 155 N Bardstown Road in Mount Washington.
