EU: Barley exports estimated at up to 3.9 mln tonnes in July-October
Taxud’s EU barley export statistics of July 1 - October 26 shows shipments at 2.85 mln tonnes vs. 2.74 mln tonnes last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in November.
However, French export registrations of 0.72 mln tonnes are incomplete. Unofficial French port figures are 1.89 mln tonnes. Assuming other national statistics are correct, the EU has already exported 3.9 mln tonnes.
Taxud malt export numbers of 0.8 mln tonnes (in grain equivalent) are also incomplete. The provisional total of 4.7 mln tonnes is 44% of the anticipated total exports in 2021/22.
