EU: Malt exports up 10% in July 2020-May 2021

EU malt exports between 1 July 2020 and 24 May 2021 amounted at 2.722 mln tonnes (grain equivalent), 10% more than last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in June.

Main destinations for European malt were Brazil which imported 389 thousand tonnes of it, Nigeria with 227 thousand tonnes, Japan with 148 thousand, and Vietnam with 143 thousand tonnes.
