EU: Malt exports increase by 8.9% in July-January 2020/21
EU malt exports in July 1, 2020 – January 25, 2021 totalled 1.658 mln tonnes (in grain equivalent), plus 8.9 % y/y, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in February.
The main destinations for EU malt were Brazil with 291 thousand tonnes (+ 313% y/y), Nigeria with 102 thousand tonnes (+ 34%), Vietnam with 102 thousand tonnes (+ 16%), Japan with 83 thousand tonnes (- 32%), and Cambodia with 67 thousand tonnes (+ 34%).
